Signal management is required to ensure all installations work as designed, they range from a simple 2input 1output system up to matrices capable of routing hundreds of signals and everything in-between. The complexity of the installation, dictates the size of the signal management system required. They can be hardwired or “virtual” existing only on a computer interface, with the convergence of AV & IT more and more computer based routers are appearing for routing systems over a CAT5 or CAT6 network leading to lower overheads.
